Event:	The Great York Dragon Boat Challenge
Date:	10th July 2005
Description:	Watch as 36 teams battle it out on the River Ouse between Scarborough and Lendal Bridges for the title of Dragon Boat champions.

Event:	YUMI Multicultural Food and Arts Festival
Date:	23rd - 24th July 2005
Description:	Enjoy food from around the world cooked by the by people who have a passion of cuisine. The two-day event will combine live music, art and other cultural activities as well as a variety of global cuisine.

Event:	York Festival of Food and Drink
Date:	16th – 25th September 2005
Description:	Showcasing the best food and drink that Yorkshire has to offer, this ten-day festival includes winetastings, competitions for amateur chefs and a Festival Ale Trail around the city.

Event:	The Ghost Festival
Date:	29th – 31st October 2005
Description:	Ghost walks, talks about the paranormal, open forums all feature in York’s celebration of the spirits.
