Although there
are exceptions to every rule we're sure you’d be
hard pushed to find someone who doesn’t like sandwiches,
especially in the 21st century with the variety of breads
and fillings on offer. So when you’re in the mood
for this convenient food there are a few places in Sheffield
that should satisfy your need for a sandwich.
With two highly regarded outlets in the area Sandwich
Sandwich [map] is certainly the place to try if you want
a great choice of quality bread based snacks. Ingredients
like ciabatta, Houmous and guacamole all feature on the
menu of this sandwich stop. The stores are located on
Chapel Walk in the town centre and on Glossop
Road.
Also located on Glossop Road, close to the university
and the hospital, is Scott’s Pantry [map].
Here you’ll find affordable but satisfying sandwiches
that come in a range of guises. From hot sandwiches to exotic cold sandwiches, this place really has its
finger on the pulse of the sandwich-loving public.
If hot sandwiches are your thing then check out
what’s on offer at the Corner House Deli [map] on
Wellington Street. They offer some tasty heated snacks,
and you’ll also be able to get a cold sandwich here
for later, if one doesn’t quite hit the spot.
Bringing a bit of class to Sheffield’s sandwich
offerings is the Ha-Ha Bar & Canteen… well if
your idea of classy is root vegetable flavoured crisps.
There’s a large variety of sandwiches on offer from
the standard ham sandwich, to those that offer slightly
more excitement for your taste buds.
For something a little different, why not try Bagel
Time [map] on Ecclesall Road. This small shop
is big on taste as all the bagels are made freshly in
the shop with a variety of flavours on offer. Open from
11:00am until late in the evening there’s plenty
of opportunity for you to get your face round a bagel.
