Live Music in Nottingham |

 |
Whatever your taste in music there’s bound to be
a venue in Nottingham where you can enjoy an evening of
live musical entertainment.
Probably the biggest in the area is Nottingham Arena [map], a 10,0000-seat concert hall set within
the £43 million National Ice Centre complex in the
city. Reputedly the East Midlands’ premier entertainment
and sporting venue, the arena plays host to huge stars
such as Elton John, Lionel Richie, Bryan Adams, Ronan
Keating and Blink 182. It’s definitely the place
to go to catch a glimpse of the world’s hottest
singing sensations.
If classical music is more you style then head to the Royal Concert Hall [map], a stunningly modern
venue that stages performances by leading international
orchestras, along with the occasional pop band.
The Albert Hall [map] on North Circus Street, which has an 800-seat auditorium,
hosts performances by the likes of the Nottingham Philharmonic
Orchestra and the Nottingham Symphony Orchestra.
Followers of rock music would be better suited to venues
such as Rock City [map] on Talbot Street, where big names such as Amy Winehouse,
Keane, WASP and Captain Everything regularly perform.
Just round the corner from here The Rescue Rooms [map] offer a helping of hip hop and rap music by
artists including New Flesh, Kid Acne and Nostalgia 77,
whilst Junktion 7 [map] on Canning Circus has live
music from local and national bands most nights of the
week.
