Gay Bars in Nottingham |
 |
 |
Nottingham has
a growing gay community with numerous bars and clubs dotted
around the Huntingdon Street area of the city centre.
One of the most popular gay bars in Nottingham is Central [map] on Huntingdon Street, a large and friendly bar-cum-club where the music is distinctly commercial.
Just up the road from here you’ll find the Foresters
Inn [map], a gay pub with a pool table, good food
and a real roaring fire to warm your cockles.
Across the road there’s New Foresters [map],
a recently refurbished bar, and The Lord Roberts [map],
a gay-friendly establishment next to a theatre that attracts
a trendy loved-up crowd.
Situated on Lower Parliament Street, Ice [map] is the new kid on the block and one of Nottingham’s
coolest bars, which should give your night out a somewhat
different edge.
Not far from here you’ll find Nottingham’s
only gay club – but it is a superclub and well
worth checking out. NG1 [map] boasts four bars, two dance floors and a chill-out
area, along with a café and unisex toilets.
The club holds 750 people and plays a mix of pop, R ‘n’
B and dance music.
Other gay bars worth checking out include AD2 [map] on Huntingdon Street, which is full of young trendy
things, and Edge [map] on Lower Parliament Street, where the crowd bop 'til they
drop.
