Bed & Breakfast in North London |
 |
 |
Bed and breakfast
accommodation does exactly as the name suggests - offer
you a bed for the night and breakfast in the morning.
If this is all you need from a place to stay then there’s
plenty of choice in north London.
You will find that most bed and breakfast accommodation
in the capital is based in residential homes, however
there are some exceptions to this rule and in north London
you’ll find one of them.
The Winchester pub hotel [map] is a traditional tavern offering accommodation to all-comers.
Here comfortable double, twin and family rooms are all
on offer at a reasonable price, but this is not the only
attraction. Located in the historic village of Highgate,
this tavern shows off its architectural origins both inside
and out and gives guests a taste of ye olde England. In
addition, the pub also serves a range of meals which should
provide a good encore to the breakfast.
Although there are no views of mountains from the windows
of the Mountain View Guest House [map], you
should still find it a pleasant place to stay. It boasts
rooms that are “furnished with every home comfort
including bathrobe and slippers” and serves a traditional
English cooked breakfast in the mornings. In addition,
its residential location means you get the ‘leafy’
north London experience without having to be too far away
from the capital’s attractions.
Convenience and comfort are the hallmarks of a good B&B
and at Bay Tree House [map] you should find them both. With three large rooms on offer
all with en suite facilities, this is where you’ll
find the comfort. And for convenience, look no further
than the fact that Bay Tree House is located just 4 minutes
away from Arnos Grove tube station [map]. This station
will not only connect you to the central sights, but because
it is on the Piccadilly line will also take you straight
to Heathrow Airport [map].
Other bed and breakfast options in north London include Garfield House [map] which has single, double and triple
rooms available at its terraced Islington location, and Costello Place [map], an Edwardian accommodation boasting
a well stocked bar and Sky TV in every room.
