Clubbing In Leeds |
 |
 |
Leeds comes alive at night. From ambient chill-out lounges,
to thumping house music venues, whatever your tastes or
energy levels there's something to appeal.
This city leads the way with some of the biggest club
names in the North including The Cockpit [map] (voted venue of the Year by Radio 1 in 2002!), Life
[map] , and Creation [map].
These clubs attract weekenders from far and wide who come
to the city to experience the ups and downs of club land.
The newest kid on the block is Halo [Map],
which is set in an old church on Woodhouse Lane. This
hip new club opened in September 2004 and has already
won a strong fan base.
From out of town techno, to central underground funk at
nationally respected venues, you'll find an eclectic mix
of music. If you're achingly cool, then pay a visit to BrB, The Bourbon Bar [map],
or Fibre [map] for some serious chic.
As you would expect from such a culturally diverse city,
the choice doesn't end there, there's also clubs and specific
nights embracing Motown, rare groove, funk, Latino and
jazz, and, of course, when in Leeds it's essential to
rediscover your Northern Soul with a visit to the large
number of clubs keeping the spirit alive.
