Put on your smartest clothes and head to one of Harrogate’s
impressive theatres to see a real treat. Harrogate Theatre [map] on Oxford Street, is an absolutely beautiful building tucked away down a pedestrian walkway. Usually more familiar in the West End, the theatre style is truly impressive and dates back to the 1900s. The ornate main stage is home to a number of impressive touring productions as well as original work. Opera, drama, music and family events are all staged here and you might just bump into a famous celebrity or spot a TV star treading the boards. Harrogate Theatre is a real part of the local community and offers workshops for children and adults as well as a smaller studio for the presentation of new work and community productions.
