Gay Bars in Harrogate |
 |
 |
It’s fair
to say that Harrogate doesn’t offer an awful lot
to its gay community, and it’ll certainly be a long
time before a scene like Manchester’s
Canal Street becomes part of Harrogate culture.
However, most clubs and pubs are pretty gay friendly and
there’s a few specific places that offer a warm
welcome.
A visit to Hales Bar [map], Crescent Road is
an absolute must. This is a gay-friendly venue that welcomes
gay men and lesbians, as well as arty straight-types too.
It’s open Monday to Saturday from 11am-11:00pm and
on Sundays from noon until 10.30pm.
When it’s time to grab a bite to eat either before
or after seeing what the local nightlife has to offer
you could do worse than popping along to The Italian
Connection [map], Cold Bath Road.
This swish restaurant offers a lot more than your standard
pizza and pasta combo and it’s also very gay friendly.
The restaurant serves up homemade Italian cuisine and
will cook according to your taste and liking with speciality
dishes served each week. Freshly made sandwiches are also
available on a selection of home-baked Italian breads.
