 |
If you’re
longing to take to the open grass and kick around a football
with like-minded people you’ll find plenty of opportunity
to do just that in Harrogate.
Whether you’ve got a team or want to join another,
your best bet is to pop along to one of the leisure centres
in the Harrogate area.
The Rossett Sports Centre [map], shares its
facilities with members of the public and the Rossett
School next door. The facilities here are very good and
include a synthetic floodlit football pitch as
well as an indoor sports hall for football. There’s
also a viewing gallery so you can invite supporters to
see you play.
Older people will be able to get fighting fit and improve
their footy skills at Ripon Leisure Centre [map] on Dallamires
Lane. There’s a full programme of activities
for the over 50s and you can meet plenty of like-minded
people.
Ripon Leisure Centre also offers sports coaching courses for youngsters, a crèche, meeting rooms and
changing facilities.
Head out to the beautiful Yorkshire Dales and you’ll
soon find yourself in Nidderdale. Here you’ll be
able to enjoy a great game of five-a-side football at the Nidderdale Recreation Centre [map], Pateley
Bridge, Nidderdale. Offering a range of activities
including a sports hall for football, tennis and squash
courts and a licensed bar and lounge, this is the perfect
place for getting fit and feeling at one with nature. |
