Luxury Hotels in London |

There are plenty
of superior hotels in London, and whether you’re
looking for a Mecca of modernist chic or a classically
impressive five-star suite, you’ll find lots of
choice in the area.
Probably the most luxurious hotel in the North West area,
and one of the most highly regarded in the capital, is
the Landmark London [map].
Built on the site of the 19th century Grand Central Hotel,
the phoenix-like Landmark Hotel has risen to form a classic
but contemporary effigy of British Victorian elegance.
Built in 1800 The Dorset Square hotel [map],
NW1, is the perfect antidote to modern city hotels. Each
room is decorated with art and antiques to create an English
Country feel while the marble and mahogany bathrooms fuse
the past and the present day.
Over in North London the hotel that comes closest to offering
salubrious slumber of the highest order is the Hilton
Islington. This four-star hotel offers all the class
you would expect from the Hilton chain. The room options
include standard, suite or deluxe suite but all come with
air conditioning, web access and Playstation access. The
hotel itself is equipped with an award-winning health
and fitness club for those who want to get active, and
for those who would rather relax and unwind there’s
Sam’s Brassiere and Bar.
The East End is certainly not renowned for its luxurious
places to stay. However, if you are in this part of London
and need the comfort of a suite and a concierge then all
is not lost. There is one five star hotel here - with
stunning views of the Thames and all the grandeur you’d
expect - The Four Seasons on Canary Wharf [map].
With its riverside location this 10-storey building beautifully
combines the contemporary chic you’ve come to expect
from modern hotels with the historic elegance of the building
itself. And with a penthouse suite and a presidential
suite on offer, you should find all the class you need
here.
One of South East London’s most prestigious hotels
is The London Bridge Hotel [map],
London Bridge, SE1. This is the place for large rooms,
luxurious bedding and a range of fine facilities that
you’ll struggle to find in any other hotel. This
is top calibre accommodation and is the perfect place
for taking a loved one on a romantic break. Some lucky
customers can enjoy stunning views across The Thames.
If you want to eat in style try Simply Nico’s and
Georgetown inside the hotel which both offer excellent
European cuisine.
The stylish exterior of the Mandarin Oriental [map],
Hyde Park, Knightsbridge, SW1, is the perfect example
of the kind of exquisite accommodation available in the
South West area. Boasting five stars the Mandarin Oriental
is located right in the heart of Knightsbridge and has
views over Royal parkland. Having recently completed a
£57m restoration, the award-winning hotel has amazing
rooms and suites, two vibrant and exclusive restaurants
– both of which overlook Hyde Park, a buzzing bar
and London’s most exclusive spa.
Central London has many internationally renowned hotels
offering that touch of luxury that helps to make any visit
perfect.
Grange City Hotel [map] in Whitechapel is a relatively new hotel offering five
star accommodation with fantastic panoramic views over
the city and the River Thames. One particularly special
feature of the Grange City Hotel is its huge heated swimming
pool, an ideal location in which to sooth away the stresses
of the city.
Over in Covent Garden its sister hotel Grange Holborn
Hotel [map],
Holborn, Bloomsbury, offers the same class of accommodation
and benefits from equally stunning views across St Paul’s
Cathedral and Canary Wharf. The high-class restaurant
within the hotel has a unique ceiling depicting the night
sky star locations on Millennium night.
Close to The Bank of England, The Threadneedles Hotel
[map] is a five star hotel with a contemporary feel. The
interior combines traditional oak panelling with marble
columns. Bedrooms are stylish in chocolate and purple.
Threadneedles City Boutique Hotel is located at Bank,
Bishopsgate, Liverpool Street, EC2.
Finding accommodation that goes that extra mile is easy
in West London.
For five star luxury book into The Westbury [map],
Bond Street, Mayfair, W1. Here you’ll find a grand
and impressive famous-named hotel flanked by hundreds
of other famous names. The Westbury is close to Bond Street
– home to Versace, Tiffany’s, Armani, and
Burberry, so if you’re keen to make your shopping
trip one to remember a room at The Westbury is sure to
impress.
No 5 Cavendish Square [map], is one of
the most stylish addresses in the world. The former Spanish
Embassy is now a luxurious hotel. This beautifully designed
hotel offers individually designed suites which each have
their own theme. The stunningly equipped rooms all have
their own plasma TV screens, DVD players, and a selection
of magazines, chocolates and fruit upon arrival.
If you’re with the one you love why not indulge
in some bathroom bonding and order from a menu that includes
chocolates, strawberries, champagne and rose petals for
the ultimate experience.
