	As a former European City of Culture there’s plenty going on in Glasgow at the many museums, art galleries, theatres and dance venues. However in addition to all this Glasgow also has a number of annual events that may be worth a look, including:

Event:	Glasgow International Comedy Festival
Date:	10th –26th March 2005
Description:	Now in its third year, this comedy showcase is gaining momentum with around 150 comedy events packed into just 16 days at venues around the city.

Event:	Glasgow Art Fair & RAW (Real Art Weekend)
Date:	28th April – 1st May 2005
Description:	As one of the UK’s largest art fairs you’re sure to find something you like at one of the seven venues across the city. Contemporary art takes centre stage at the exhibitions, while the fair in George Square is likely to have something for collectors of all inclinations.

Event:	Royal Bank Glasgow Jazz Festival
Date:	17th - 26th June 2005

Event:	Great Scottish Run
Date:	27h August 2005
Description:	This charity race sees the fit and the fun seekers donning their trainers to raise money. The 10km route takes participants around Glasgow from George Square to Meadowbank Stadium.
