GO Clubbing In Edinburgh |

Visitors flock to Edinburgh to sample some of the very
best clubbing in Scotland. The coolest of the cool visit Manga [map], at The Honeycomb, Niddry Street. Oozing with Japanese style, Manga presents a range of hip-hop, R‘n’B and drum and bass. This is the place to see and be seen in. If DJs are your gods be sure to check out The Bongo Club [map], New Street, close to the Waverley Station. In a unique and intimate venue above a car park this is the place for catching the next big thing. Get some soul with a visit to La Belle Angele [map] on Hastie's Close which has an eclectic mix of music ranging from soul divas to Latin and jazz. If it’s all about having fun head to Taste which is Edinburgh's longest running gay friendly club. This is the venue for Deep House, USA House and dance music and has a fantastic reputation combined with an “up for it” crowd. Taste happens every Sunday night at The Liquid Room [map] on Victoria Street. You might be in Edinburgh but that’s not to say you can’t indulge in a bit of America. The Ocean Terminal [map], Leith, regularly plays host to Vegas. Vegas nights are little bit special and feature a range of the very top performers from Scotland’s premier swing dance, easy listening and latino night. This is a great place to practice those dance moves and attracts a wide audience hell bent on having a great time. Alternatively, head to Club Mercado [map] on Market Street for cheesy pop, and regular nights including Eye Candy and Tackno. Bop away with tongue firmly in cheek as you survey your glam and kitsch surroundings. Perhaps it’s your first visit to Edinburgh and you’d prefer to stick to what you know. You’ll be pleased to know that this city has a Po Na Na [map]. The familiar Bedouin tents are in position and that happy combination of classic dance and cheesy pop is on the turntable. That’s right, Po Na Na on Frederick Street is pretty much like every other Po Na Na in the UK, which means, of course, it’s plenty of fun in a chilled out atmosphere. Indie kids and thrash metal fans will be pleased to know that there’s a range of alternative venues in which to do their dancing. Check out Opium [map] at Cowgate for loud alternative music and Nichol Edwards [map] on Niddry Street.
