Vegetarian In East London |
 |
 |
If Dustin Hoffman or
Kate Winslet came to east London for their fix of meat
free cuisine…what restaurant options would they
have?
Well if they’re strict vegetarians they’re
going to want to go to exclusively vegetarian restaurants
where meat has never been prepared. This they will find,
but, unfortunately they may not have the swanky or chic
characteristics top stars tend to look for in a place
to eat.
However, if you’re happy to pay under £50
for your meal then east London may have some options.
Probably your best option is the Thai Garden [map] on Globe Road (E2). This restaurant may not have the style
of a posh nosh eatery, but it does offer a decent vegetarian
meal. The majority of the menu offers vegetarian Thai
flavours but there are some seafood dishes as well.
For pure vegetarian flavours with no seafood in sight,
you could try a meal at the Wild Cherry [map] restaurant, also on Globe Road. This restaurant is run
by a group of Buddhist women, who aim to provide you with
a tasty meal while spreading the vegetarian philosophy.
The food is certainly affordable and the menu features
dishes like Polenta Pie.
Other restaurants in the area include The Gallery Café
[map] on Old Ford Road and The Cherry Orchard [map] also on Globe Road.
