Brighton is jammed packed
full of restaurants and cafés, many of which offer ‘all
you can eat’ and happy hour deals so filling your tummy doesn’t
have to cost the earth.
For a delicious well-priced Chinese lunch head to Gan Bei [map]
in Hove, where you can choose from a selection of 20 dishes in the
set-priced buffet. Evening meals also offer value for money with most
main courses costing less than a tenner and starters for under a fiver.
Also in Hove is China Hins [map]
on Church Road, which boasts an all-you-can-eat buffet from Sunday
to Thursday. There is also a lunch special and Sunday buffet lunch.
If you’re staying in central Brighton then it’s worth
trying The Little Buddha [map]
on Dyke Road, a cheap but cheerful and exceptionally tasty Thai eatery.
There is a wide choice of meat, seafood and vegetarian dishes, a takeaway
service and a bargain two-course lunch for just over £5.
For a taste of Italy without spending a fortune, head to the renowned
Donatello [map]
on Brighton Place, a trendy restaurant visited by locals, visitors
and celebrities alike. This authentic pizzeria offers an excellent
range of pizza, pasta, meat and fish dishes all at very reasonable
prices, with most pizzas costing less than a fiver.
Just up the road from here you’ll find Pinocchio [map],
another popular pizzeria close to the Theatre Royal and Brighton Dome
complex, which has a set menu for less than £10.
If you’re just looking for a cheap but filling sandwich to keep
you going during the day, head to Options Express [map]
on St James Street or Jason’s Sandwich Bar [map]
on North Street, which both offer friendly man-sized sandwiches at
very good prices.
Finally for fish, burgers or a good fried breakfast try Buddies

on Kings Road, Brighton’s premier 24-hour café.
