No matter how much we’re
looking forward to escaping from the chores of everyday life with
a holiday by the sea, we all miss the little home comforts we’re
so used to. That’s why it’s worth making the most of the many bed and breakfasts on offer in Brighton – so you can enjoy a relaxing break within the familiar home-like surroundings. A large cluster of Brighton’s B&Bs are located in the Kemp Town district, which is close enough to the seafront for you to enjoy a stroll on the sand but also not too far from the city centre. Among the best accommodation you’ll find here is Funchal Guest House [map], a small B&B close to all the major attractions. Run by a friendly couple, this hotel is just a stone’s throw from Brighton Pier and the Sealife Centre. There are also plenty of cafés and bars nearby so you can relax and watch the world go by. Also located in Kemp Town is the classy Twenty One [map] B&B on Charlotte Street, which has a number of comfortable rooms set within an ornate Victorian house. Not too far from here, on Upper Rock Gardens you’ll find Westbourne [map], a traditional bed and breakfast where you can enjoy a fantastic fry-up in the morning. It is very close to the sea from and all the local amenities. On the same road is the Four Seasons [map], a bright and friendly B&B with good vegetarian options for breakfast. For accommodation with a more contemporary look and feel, book your room at Lichfield House [map] on Waterloo Street, which offers good value for money for such a central location. The beach is only minutes away, as is the Western Road shopping area with its many cafes and restaurants. Also worth checking out is the Sandpiper Guest House [map], which is situated just a couple of minutes walk away from the shops in city centre and Brighton Pier. This hotel has recently been refurbished and offers unrestricted access to rooms for those who like to stay out that little bit late.
