It’s never easy

This adventure in chocolate wonderland is sure to delight the young and young at heart as you get the opportunity to step behind the scenes of one of the world’s biggest chocolate manufacturers. Enjoy a trip back in time to see the discovery of chocolate and enjoy watching experiments and tasting plenty of the brown stuff along the way. If your holiday is going swimmingly, why not take time out to visit The National Sea Life Centre [map], Waters Edge, Brindley Place. This is your chance to glimpse thousands of sea and fresh water creatures without getting your feet wet. There’s a 360 degree underwater tunnel to see some fascinating fish from every angle and there’s plenty of low level displays and fun educational exercises for the kids. Take the stress out of babysitting by inviting them to let their hair down in Star City [map], Watson Road, B7. This huge entertainment complex contains an enormous multi-screen cinema, restaurants, stores, clubs, bowling alleys and an entertainment arcade. There’s plenty to see and do here and the activities can easily take up a whole day of fun. Eager minds will be keen to investigate the goings on at Think Tank [map], Millennium Point, Curzon Street, Digbeth. This is Birmingham’s museum of science and discovery and offers 10 fascinating galleries of historical artefacts as well as interactive displays and futuristic facts.
