for free information about Belfast, or any other subject for that
matter, you can use one of the city’s libraries.
There are more than 30 libraries to choose from in Belfast
including libraries that offer specific periodicals and newspapers
to information about music, business and a general reference library.
Belfast’s Central Library [map]
is located at Royal Avenue, and has a range of facilities including
Internet access and a children’s library.
Anyone is welcome to use these facilities and to join in with their
range of free learning activities. But if you want to take out books,
CDs, DVDs or videos you must be a Belfast resident to take advantage
of this.
Belfast residents can join a library by producing some identification
which can range from a driving licence, identity card, or medical
card, to pension book or rent book. While children under 16-year-old
will also need a signature from a parent or guardian. |
