Bath
is easy to get to from just about every area of the UK
thanks to its good links to the motorway network.
The A4 and A36 roads run through the city;
the M4 motorway is approximately 10 miles away.
If approaching from the M4, leave the motorway at junction
18 and follow the A46 south 8 miles to the
Bath exit from the dual carriageway.
Once in Bath you’ll be keen to find a place to park
your vehicle. Bath City Council operates three very good
park and ride schemes that are active in the North
(Lansdown service), East and South (Odd Down service),
and the West (Newbridge).
Using a park and ride couldn’t be simpler and is
a convenient way to travel into the city centre. As the
name suggests you just park your car in one of these car
parks and then wait for the bus to come to ride into the
city centre. The service also runs in the opposite direction
so you can return to your car at the end of the day. |
